Why Coselium
Our own R&D
Hardware, firmware and programming tools are developed by Cosel Elektronik’s own team.
One hardware family, two roles
FiOC-40 is a controller running a Sedona application on the device; FiO-40 is a remote I/O that needs no programming. Both have 40 points.
Workbench or Niagara N4
Applications are programmed with Coselium Workbench or from Niagara N4 with the cosel modules.
Licences when needed
Modbus TCP ↔ RTU gateway and BACnet IP ↔ MS/TP router functions are enabled by licence when required.
Product family
Controllers, remote I/O and the software that programs them. FiOC-40 and FiO-40 are in stock; FiOC-32 is coming soon.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FiO-40 and FiOC-40?
Both come from the same hardware family and have 40 points (16 DI, 8 UI, 8 DO, 8 FIO). FiOC-40 is a controller that runs the control application on the device with Sedona; communication and point structure are set up per project. FiO-40 is a remote I/O that needs no programming and comes with a ready Modbus and BACnet point list.
How does it integrate with Niagara N4?
With the cosel modules: the FiOC-40 is reached through a direct device connection or a station driver. Kit Manager manages kits, Device Manager finds supported devices and Point Manager adds the selected points to the station. Devices can also connect through the standard BACnet/IP or Modbus TCP drivers.
Which software is used for programming?
FiOC-40 is programmed live over SOX with Coselium Workbench (Windows, macOS) or inside Niagara N4 with the cosel modules. FiO-40 needs no programming; it is configured from its local web interface or over BLE.
Which functions need a licence?
On FiO-40, basic Modbus RTU/TCP and BACnet/IP, MS/TP use needs no licence; a Level 1 licence enables the Modbus TCP ↔ RTU gateway and Level 2 adds the BACnet IP ↔ MS/TP router. On FiOC-40 the BACnet router is an optional add-on licence.
When will FiOC-32 be available?
FiOC-32 is in preparation; the release date will be announced once it is confirmed. You are welcome to contact us through the contact form for information.
Who installs and commissions the devices?
